As Ben Affleck turned 52, Jennifer Lopez shared photos of herself from her own birthday celebrations amid breakup rumors surrounding the couple.
It looks like Jennifer Lopez is still in a birthday state of mind.
So much so that the “Jenny From the Block” singer took to social media on her husband Ben Affleck’s 52nd birthday to share throwback photos from her own celebrations in the Hamptons last month.
As seen in an Aug. 15 Instagram post, J.Lo posed next to a silver car while rocking a see-through dress with silver embellishments from Dior Couture. She wore the sheer look to her 55th birthday dinner at Nick & Toni’s restaurant in July.
Tagging the French fashion label, as well as her stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, J.Lo simply wrote in the caption, “Dior.”
But an Italian feast on the East Coast wasn’t the only way Jennifer rang in her milestone at the time. In addition, she threw a lavish Bridgerton-themed party for friends and family, though Ben was not in attendance.
Instead, the Justice League actor remained in Los Angeles, where he was spotted without his wedding ring.
The sighting came amid breakup rumors surrounding the couple, who wed in 2022 after rekindling their romance one year prior. While Ben has not publicly addressed the speculation, Jennifer did shut down a reporter who inquired about her relationship status.
After she was asked to address her “situation” with the Oscar winner at an Atlas press conference in May, the multi-hyphenate quipped, “You know better than that.”
Still, the rumors continued to swirl in July, when neither Ben or J.Lo publicly acknowledged their second wedding anniversary. In fact, they spent the day on opposite coasts.
But for what it’s worth, Ben has been outspoken about his desires to keep their relationship out of the spotlight after a “massive amount of scrutiny” from the public led to their 2003 breakup.
“Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media,'” he recounted in his wife’s The Greatest Love Story Never Told documentary. “And then I sort of realized it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of like you’re gonna marry a boat captain and you go, ‘Well, I don’t like the water.'”
Ben added, “We’re just two people with different approaches trying to learn to compromise.” -enews / photo: people
