Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday released a video confirming Iran’s nuclear facilities were destroyed following US strikes on Saturday night.

“You remember that from the beginning of the operation, I promised you that Iran’s nuclear facilities would be destroyed, one way or another. That promise has been fulfilled,” Netanyahu said.

“The United States powerfully continued the IDF and Mossad’s strikes on Iran’s nuclear program. This program threatened our very existence and endangered the peace of the entire world.”

Netanayhu added that after the strikes, US President Donald Trump called to congratulate him, as well as the IDF and the Israeli people.

“President Trump is courageously leading the free world. He is a tremendous friend of Israel, an unparalleled friend,” Netanyahu continued.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked US President Donald Trump for the US Air Force’s airstrikes on Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan on Sunday morning, calling the actions “truly unsurpassed” in having “done what no other country on Earth could do.”

Trump’s “bold decision to target Iran’s nuclear facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history,” Netanyahu said.

“History will record that President Trump acted to deny the world’s most dangerous regime the world’s most dangerous weapons,” he added.

Trump’s “leadership today has created a pivot in history that can help lead the Middle East and beyond to a future of prosperity and peace,” Netanyahu commented.

‘Peace through strength’

Both Trump and Netanyahu regularly say the phrase “peace through strength,” the prime minister added, elaborating that “First comes strength, then comes peace. And tonight, President Trump and the United States acted with a lot of strength.”

“I thank you, the people of Israel thank you, the forces of civilization thank you,” Netanyahu added.

President Isaac Herzog thanked Trump and the US, stating that “This brave step serves the security and safety of the entire free world. I hope it will lead to a better future for the Middle East — and help advance the urgent release of our hostages held in captivity in Gaza.”

“In the pages of human history, this is a moment when the principles of liberty, responsibility, and security have triumphed. A decisive moment between the axis of terror and evil and the axis of hope,” Herzog commented.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar also thanked Trump, stating that Trump “inscribed his name in golden letters in the pages of history.”

“With his courageous decision to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities, he has proven himself truly worthy of the title “Leader of the Free World.” He will forever be remembered as a true friend of the Jewish people and the State of Israel,” Sa’ar added.

Defense Minister Israel Katz commended Trump “for his historic decision to destroy the three nuclear sites in Iran in order to continue the Israeli operation and ensure that Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons — weapons that would endanger Israel, regional countries, and the national security interests of the United States itself.”

Israeli ambassador to Washington, Yechiel Leiter wrote an open letter to embassy staff, saying: “Let us imagine if the State of Israel and the Israel Defense Forces had existed in 1938… Thanks to our steadfastness and our unwavering commitment to the living continuity of the Jewish people, the strongest military power in the world has come to stand by our side and defeat those who rise to destroy us.” / jerusalem post
